Dignitas Infinita highlights the indispensable nature of the dignity of the human
person. The declaration aims at strengthening the truth that defending human dignity
is a “fundamental condition for our societies to be truly just, peaceful, healthy, and
authentically human”. This document was carefully drafted by the Dicastery for the
Doctrine of the Faith. The book presents fundamental principles and theoretical
premises, to offer significant clarifications to help the readers understand the term
“dignity”. It also highlights different topics closely related to human dignity such as
poverty, human trafficking, war, and other themes related to human dignity
“beyond all circumstances”.
